Leg veins or (commonly known as spider veins) are caused by increased pressure in the veins. A tendency to get them is believed to be hereditary, and that they’re more common as you get older. It’s also known that people who stand for a long time, such as nurses, hairdressers and teachers etc., tend to increase the amount of pressure in the veins of the legs and are more likely to develop spider veins. Most commonly, spider veins are treated on a client’s back of knees and/or thighs. This type of treatment is performed by one of our qualified doctors.
