Our AcneClear Signature Treatment requires minimal preparation for most clients. However, a few important precautions apply to ensure safety and effectiveness:
Clients should avoid sun exposure and must not be taking strong medications prior to treatment. Those who have used Roaccutane or other isotretinoin medications must wait at least 6 months after completing their course before starting treatment. For darker skin tones, it is recommended to prepare the skin for 2 weeks beforehand using a tyrosinase inhibitor (recommended by your clinician) to reduce the risk of hyper pigmentation.

To protect your skin during recovery:
- Avoid exercise, spas, and saunas for 24 hours
- Avoid using active skincare ingredients (e.g. retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for 48 hours
- Avoid direct sun exposure and exfoliation for 7 days
- Makeup can be safely applied 12–24 hours after

What to Expect Immediately After Treatment
Following your AcneClear treatment, it is normal for the skin to appear slightly red and feel a little rough or bumpy for 1-2 days as it purges impurities and the overactive sebaceous glands are treated.
