About Cosmelan
Cosmelan is a professional, medical-grade, non-invasive depigmentation treatment designed to target the root cause of dark spots by regulating melanin production. Its active ingredients inhibit tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin synthesis, reducing the formation of new pigmentation while fading existing dark spots, including melasma, sun damage, and post-inflammatory marks.
Unlike regular peels, Cosmelan works at a cellular level to balance pigment production, promoting an even skin tone and delivering both immediate and long-term results when paired with proper homecare. Safe for all skin tones, it helps prevent the reoccurrence of pigmentation triggered by hormonal fluctuations, sun exposure, and or other factors.
The Cosmelan program combines an in-clinic treatment with a structured, essential homecare regimen, providing a comprehensive and lasting approach to pigmentation management. Clinically proven and trusted worldwide, Cosmelan can reduce visible pigmentation by 85–95%, revealing a brighter, clearer, and more even-toned complexion.

In-Clinic Application (Day of treatment)
During your in-clinic visit, the Cosmelan professional mask is applied by one of our trained clinicians. The mask remains on the skin for a prescribed period of approximately 6–8 hours, carefully determined based on your skin type and specific concerns. You will then remove the mask at home at the instructed time, initiating the depigmentation process.
In the days that follow, mild peeling, redness, and sensitivity are expected as the skin begins to renew and pigmentation gradually fades.
Maintenance Phase (Post-Treatment)
Once your skin has recovered, you will transition into the maintenance phase using the Cosmelan 2 Kit, which includes targeted depigmenting and restorative products. This phase is essential for stabilising results, maintaining ongoing pigment control, and preventing the formation of new dark spots.
Consistent use of the prescribed homecare products, combined with daily broad-spectrum SPF, helps ensure long-lasting clarity, improved skin texture, and a balanced, even-toned complexion.
An increase in pigment can be noticed around month 1, 2 and 3. This is known as a “hyperpigmentation spike” where the underlying pigment continues to rise through the layer of the skin to the surface.
