- Skin preparation is required 2 weeks prior to treatment, depending on your skin condition. Your clinician will recommend specific products, including tyrosinase inhibitors, to enhance results and reduce the risk of hypopigmentation or complications.
- Minimise sun exposure for at least 2 weeks prior and apply a SPF 50+ daily.
- Avoid facial hair removal methods such as electrolysis, waxing, and depilatory creams 2 weeks prior.
- Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds 1 -2 weeks prior. Spray tans must be completely removed prior to treatment.
- Avoid peels or other abrasive treatments for 2 weeks prior.
- Stop all retinol, Retin-A, and other Vitamin A products for 48 - 72 hour before treatment to prevent over sensitising the skin.
- Avoid blood thinners, including anti-inflammatory medications and supplements, 3-5 days before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising. Consult clinician.
- An LED rejuvenation treatment may be recommended 24 hours after microneedling to support the skin’s recovery and help reduce post-treatment redness and sensitivity.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers, spas, swimming pools and saunas for 24–48 hours after treatment.
- Avoid exfoliating products and active skincare ingredients for at least 7 days, or as advised by your clinician.
- Minimise direct sun exposure and apply SPF 50+ sunscreen daily.
- Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours to minimise the risk of irritation.
- Do not pick, peel or scratch the treated skin, as this may increase the risk of irritation, pigmentation changes or scarring.
