At-Home Skin Management
Blemiderm Homecare Treatment is a 3-month at-home continuation regimen designed to support and extend the results of professional in-clinic acne treatments. The regimen typically includes a Purifying Mousse for daily cleansing to remove excess oil and unclog pores, and a night treatment cream or gel formulated to regulate sebum, calm inflammation, and promote skin renewal. Additional products may be required to maintain optimal results.
- A professional skin consultation and analysis is typically performed to assess suitability.
- Clients will be required to use Blemiderm Resurfacing Gel, an active prepping product 2 weeks prior to properly prepare the skin for the in-clinic peel.
- Avoid irritating skin treatments 2 weeks prior.
- Discontinue retinols and AHAs at least 5 days before the appointment.
- Hair removal on the treatment area should be avoided for 2 weeks.
- Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks before treatment..
- Do not pick, peel, or scratch your skin post-treatment, even as mild flaking or dryness occurs. This is essential to prevent irritation or scarring.
- Continue using your prescribed home care regimen, which includes the Purifying Mousse and Blemiderm Treatment Gel, to maintain results and promote skin healing.
- Apply a broad-spectrum SPF daily. Avoid direct sun exposure following treatment.
- Only products specifically recommended by your clinician should be used at home for optimal results.
Follow-Up Review
We recommend scheduling a check-in appointment to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. At this stage, an LED light therapy treatment is recommended to help keep the skin calm, reduce inflammation, and support the healing process.
